Augmented Reality (AR) Posters for IBNS 2019

The Program Committee will review the abstracts and select the top five to participate in this new feature for the 2019 IBNS meeting.

Not familiar with augmented reality? This YouTube video does a much better job of explaining it than words can...

Imagine if your poster could also be a video screen, or if you can add an audio voiceover to explain the results of your research, or if you could add a Message Me button so other meeting participants could immediately email you. All this is possible with Post Reality! Here's a brand new video that shows how it works:

What can augmented reality (AR) do?
With AR you can add videos and buttons to regular posters. Now you can show moving, interactive content that simply wasn't possible in the past. This opens the doors to new, exciting ways of engaging with people and communicating through poster presentations.

How does it work?
With a phone or an iPad, you point your device at the poster and all of a sudden it appears like the poster comes to life with videos and other interactive content.

How do I make one?
It's surprisingly easy. Once you've created a digital version of your poster and created the content (videos, pictures, etc.) that you want to put in augmented reality:

    • Upload your poster and content to our website
    • Drag-and-drop the content where you want it to show up on your poster
    • That's it! Now, using our app, you point your phone/iPad at the physical version of your poster to interact with all the augmented reality content

Where is my abstract posted after the meeting?
Your abstract and any content you upload will not be used for any purpose other than to view the augmented reality experience you created. Viewing this content requires pointing a phone or iPad at the physical poster, so it’s only possible to see your content when in the presence of your poster. We do not publish any of your content on the internet.

How long will my augmented reality poster be available?
That’s up to you. After the meeting you are free to delete the augmented reality experience that you built with Post Reality. Alternatively, if you’d like to share your work with friends and colleagues, you can leave the augmented reality experience on our system and continue to use our free app for iOS and Android to view your creation.

Who has access to my information?
Only you, IBNS, and our team at Post Reality. We do not share your information with any third parties.

What if I need help creating my augmented reality experience?
Our system has been designed with simplicity in mind and includes an easy-to-use, drag-and-drop editor. If, however, you find yourself with questions or need help please feel free to email us at [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you in Cairns, Australia!
